Position Overview
SS&C is seeking an Associate Client Relations Specialist to join its Retail Alternative Investment division. This role combines client-facing responsibilities with operational support, serving as a key contact for assigned clients while managing specialized processing and escalated requests.
The position offers exposure to client relations, operations, and alternative investments, with strong opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, serving as a primary point of contact for operational and investment-related inquiries
- Provide high-quality support and service delivery for assigned clients, addressing both tactical and strategic needs
- Investigate and resolve complex or escalated client issues with clear and effective solutions
- Oversee service quality and operational performance to ensure compliance with program standards
- Review, prepare, and process investor account transactions accurately
- Collaborate with internal teams, management, sales, and support groups to resolve client requests efficiently
- Implement strategies to improve service efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize support processes
- Contribute to process improvements, special projects, and ongoing team initiatives
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably within financial services or transfer agency operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on long-term client satisfaction
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working independently when needed
- Willingness to work onsite at least 6 days per month
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, JIRA, Chorus/AWD, TA2000, and mainframe systems (training provided where applicable)

Compensation
Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs.
- Massachusetts: $21.63 – $40.85 per hour
- Colorado: $19.23 – $33.65 per hour
Additional compensation may include annual discretionary stock options.
