Position Overview
Ancestry is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the DNA Matches product line within AncestryDNA. This role focuses on helping users discover genetic connections and gain deeper insights into their family history. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact features used by millions of customers worldwide.
The Product Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, UX, data science, marketing, legal, privacy, and commerce teams to deliver user-centered, scalable, and compliant product experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the DNA Matches product line
- Translate long-term DNA product strategy into actionable roadmaps, backlogs, and user stories
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful feature development and country launches
- Champion customer needs by engaging with customer-facing teams and user communities
- Define, analyze, and own key performance indicators (KPIs) and usage metrics
- Collaborate on cross-product initiatives impacting DNA and genealogy experiences
- Balance business, legal, privacy, and technical requirements in product decision-making
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management or a closely related role
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to convert complex requirements into clear product specifications
- Technical fluency to work effectively with engineering teams on architecture and implementation
- Strategic mindset with awareness of AI, automation, localization tools, and emerging technologies
- Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of product ownership
- Customer-focused approach with a track record of delivering impactful user experiences
Experience in genetics or genealogy is helpful but not required.

- Base salary range: $85,950 – $107,460 (varies by location and experience)
