Role Overview
Carelon Payment Integrity is seeking an Account Service Manager Senior – Commercialization to provide highly advanced account management and strategic planning support for major client accounts. This role serves as a lead for assigned accounts and teams, ensuring strong client relationships, operational excellence, and long-term account retention.
The position follows a hybrid work model, balancing in-office collaboration with virtual flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
The Account Service Manager Senior will:
- Provide strategic planning and account management for large, complex client accounts
- Direct and manage contractual requirements and service obligations
- Lead new account onboarding and renewal implementation processes
- Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain strong, multi-level relationships within client organizations
- Identify and recommend service improvements to meet evolving client expectations
- Develop and manage implementation and reporting processes to support client retention and satisfaction
- Provide on-site and off-site account management support, including:
- Interpreting plan design
- Researching and resolving phone and written inquiries
- Addressing claims, benefit, and enrollment issues
- Present monthly, ad hoc, mid-year, and annual utilization and benefit reports to brokers and clients
- Coordinate open enrollment meetings, renewals, and training sessions
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to support standardization, product enhancements, and operational improvements
- Provide guidance and subject-matter expertise to less experienced account service managers
- Conduct routine account visits and travel to client worksites as needed (approximately quarterly)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations management and/or customer relationship management
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience managing client strategies, expectations, and experiences across multiple solutions
- Data mining and subrogation experience
