Position Overview
Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing Tax team. This leadership role is responsible for managing client engagements, developing tax strategies, and leading a team of tax professionals while delivering high-quality consulting and compliance services.
This opportunity is ideal for a tax professional with public accounting experience who enjoys mentoring teams, building client relationships, and contributing to strategic tax planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, including task delegation, review, and mentorship
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies aligned with client goals and current tax regulations
- Provide consulting services on tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
- Conduct tax research to stay current with evolving federal tax laws and identify planning opportunities
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Support team development through training and ongoing guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Master’s degree in Taxation (preferred)
- Recent experience in a public accounting firm
- 6+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience
- CPA license preferred
- Experience with S-Corp, Partnership, Individual, and Corporate tax returns
- Prior experience managing or leading a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with tax software and related accounting technologies
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, as needed
