Role Overview
Xapo Bank is seeking an Institutional Sales professional to support business growth across the Hong Kong and Singapore markets. This role focuses on acquiring high-quality clients, including High-Net-Worth (HNW) individuals and institutional customers, and ensuring a smooth handoff to internal account management teams for onboarding.
The position requires strong relationship-building skills, regional market knowledge, and a willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events. The primary objective is to expand Xapo’s client base while maintaining a high standard of customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, strategic outreach, and industry events in Hong Kong and Singapore
- Qualify prospects to ensure alignment with target client profiles, including HNW individuals and institutional clients
Client Acquisition & Engagement
- Serve as the main point of contact during early stages of the client journey
- Introduce qualified leads to internal Account Management teams to support efficient onboarding
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations tailored to client needs
- Engage proactively with prospects to understand objectives, challenges, and requirements
- Support clients throughout onboarding and beyond to ensure a strong initial experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies for growing the client base
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor regional market trends, competitor activity, and developments in both crypto and traditional finance
- Provide regular reporting on lead generation, conversion metrics, and sales performance
- Contribute insights to sales and relationship management strategy development
Brand Representation & Networking
- Represent Xapo at regional conferences, events, and industry gatherings
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company’s values and offerings
- Build and maintain a strong professional network within the regional financial services ecosystem
Compliance & Performance
- Operate in full compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements
- Meet or exceed defined KPIs and sales targets
- Escalate region-specific issues to relevant internal teams when required
Travel
- Be available for regional travel to attend events and meet clients in person as needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a customer-facing role within banking or financial services, including private banking, private wealth management, investment banking, or commercial banking
- Professional experience in Hong Kong and/or Singapore markets
- Proven ability to originate leads and manage client relationships successfully
- Strong understanding of traditional fiat payment systems and stablecoins
- Demonstrated interest or exposure to cryptocurrency markets
- Consistent track record of achieving sales or conversion targets
- Confidence in conducting both in-person and virtual client meetings
- Established professional network within the regional financial services industry
- Fluency in English is required; Mandarin and/or Cantonese proficiency is highly desirable
