Role Overview
Xapo Bank is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across Finance, Treasury, and other business functions. This role plays a key part in building analytics capabilities, developing scalable data products, and supporting financial and regulatory reporting.
The position requires strong technical skills combined with business insight, as well as the ability to adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze transactional and financial performance data to generate insights that support strategic decision-making
- Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights through data visualizations and storytelling
- Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines
- Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards to enable self-service analytics
- Partner closely with Finance, Treasury, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions
- Support stakeholders in interpreting data and applying insights to day-to-day decision-making
- Contribute to identifying financial efficiencies and strategic opportunities
- Ensure data accuracy and maintain a single source of truth across reporting
- Automate and enhance data processes, including the use of analytics and predictive modeling tools
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve data workflows and analytical approaches
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a dedicated data analytics role
- Strong proficiency in SQL (BigQuery experience is highly advantageous)
- Solid data modeling skills
- Experience using Python for data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple analytical projects concurrently
- Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience developing in Looker (not Looker Studio) is a strong plus
- Background or exposure to finance, fintech, or crypto markets is beneficial
- Experience with GCP tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Functions, or Vertex AI is a plus
