Role Overview
The Capital Markets Manager plays a pivotal role in structuring and executing funding strategies that support Affirm’s global point-of-sale lending platform. This position contributes directly to revenue strategy and business scalability.
You will manage complex transactions, collaborate across functions, and build investor relationships while helping expand Affirm’s capital platform.
Key Responsibilities
💼 Capital Markets Strategy & Execution
- Develop a deep understanding of Affirm’s business and funding model
- Contribute to and execute capital markets strategy
- Own significant components of live funding transactions
📑 Transaction Management
- Lead deal processes end-to-end, including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and execution
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and timelines
🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Commercial, and Credit/Risk teams
- Align funding strategy with platform scalability and operational needs
🌐 Investor Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective investors
- Support communications and negotiations with funding partners
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 5+ years in structured finance, fixed-income investing, trading, private equity, consulting, or product/strategy roles
- Experience managing complex financial transactions
Skills & Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think from first principles and innovate solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong multitasking and prioritization ability
- High humility, ownership mindset, and willingness to learn
Nice to Have
- Experience with SQL or Python
- Exposure to financial platforms or fintech environments
Compensation
On-Target Earnings (U.S.):
- $245,000 – $332,500 (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT)
- $217,000 – $304,500 (all other states)
Equity: Eligible for equity awards
