Job Overview
A leading healthcare technology company is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to design and deliver complex, scalable data solutions that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role operates at the intersection of data architecture, analytics, and execution, with ownership of high-impact initiatives spanning multiple teams and domains.
The position is suited for a senior-level professional who can balance near-term delivery with long-term data strategy, provide technical leadership, and translate business needs into actionable, data-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Architecture
- Partner with product and engineering teams to convert business requirements into analytical frameworks and data-driven solutions
- Architect scalable data systems, pipelines, and analytics platforms that support enterprise-wide use cases
- Establish data governance standards and lead data quality initiatives
Advanced Analytics & Modeling
- Design and implement advanced statistical models and predictive analytics
- Develop analytics solutions that deliver meaningful business intelligence and operational efficiency
- Productionize models for both batch and streaming data workloads
Insights & Communication
- Deliver actionable insights through dashboards, visualizations, and reporting
- Present complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Serve as a reference point and best-practice leader for other teams
Data Engineering & Operations
- Optimize data pipelines and warehouse performance
- Build automated monitoring for data integrity and model performance
- Maintain awareness of emerging data technologies and industry best practices
Travel & Work Environment
- Travel: Less than 10%
- Office setting with no special physical requirements
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in quantitative analysis and data science
- Expert-level SQL skills, including data modeling and data warehouse optimization (Redshift experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of data lake architectures, ETL processes, data catalogs, and data lineage
- Experience designing and operating scalable data pipelines
- Familiarity with stream processing technologies such as Apache Flink, Spark, and Kafka
- Hands-on experience with AWS data platforms, including EMR cluster management and performance optimization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making abilities
- Excellent written, verbal, and data-driven communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Industry experience in healthcare, finance, or SaaS analytics
Compensation
- Salary Range: $170,000 – $220,000 (USD)
- Final compensation is determined based on experience, skills, location, labor market conditions, and internal equity
- This role is also eligible for a performance-based bonus (not included in the posted range)
