Position Overview
Xapo Bank is seeking a Front-End Web Developer to support the development of public-facing websites and internal user interfaces. This role blends design and engineering, focusing on translating visual concepts into high-quality, performant, and secure web experiences.
The Front-End Web Developer will collaborate closely with product designers, marketing teams, and engineers to deliver intuitive, scalable user interfaces that meet both business and user needs. While the primary focus is on public web platforms, this role will also contribute to internal tools used by operational teams.
This is a 100% remote role, open to candidates worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features for public websites and internal tools
- Translate design wireframes into clean, maintainable front-end code
- Build reusable components aligned with existing project standards
- Ensure technical feasibility and high-quality user experience across designs
- Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability
- Apply best practices related to security, browser performance, and data consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
- Support website optimization initiatives and ongoing UI improvements
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of modern front-end web development standards and best practices
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and front-end frameworks such as AngularJS
- Experience with client-side scripting, browser optimization, and security best practices
- Understanding of asynchronous requests, SPA, SSG, and partial page updates
- Familiarity with CSS pre-processing platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using design and localization tools such as Figma and Lokalise
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility challenges and solutions
- Proficiency with version control tools such as GitHub
- Experience developing UX-focused and security-conscious applications
- Knowledge of SEO principles and implementation best practices
- Experience with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and UI frameworks
- Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Cypress and/or Playwright
