Position Overview
Bolt.new by StackBlitz is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to design and scale the systems that activate, retain, and expand its user base. This role owns the end-to-end user lifecycle across email, in-product messaging, and push notifications, using behavioral data and product signals to guide users toward their next best action.
Sitting at the core of Bolt’s product-led growth (PLG) motion, this role plays a critical part in turning new signups into engaged users, individual users into teams, and teams into long-term customers.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle Strategy & Campaign Execution
- Build, manage, and optimize lifecycle campaigns across email, in-product messaging, and push notifications
- Develop onboarding, activation, retention, and expansion flows triggered by real product behaviors
- Own lifecycle messaging across key user milestones and journeys
Data, Segmentation & Experimentation
- Create and maintain clear segmentation frameworks and cohort tracking
- Analyze activation, retention, and funnel performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Design and run experiments across timing, channel mix, and messaging to improve lifecycle performance
- Use data to continuously optimize onboarding, activation, expansion, and retention metrics
Automation & Tooling
- Build and maintain automated workflows and triggers in HubSpot (or similar lifecycle platforms)
- Scale lifecycle operations through repeatable, data-driven systems
- Ensure lifecycle programs remain reliable, measurable, and easy to iterate on
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Customer Experience, and Product teams
- Align lifecycle messaging with product launches, new features, user pain points, and team milestones
- Act as a connective layer between product behavior and customer communication
Qualifications
Core Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or email marketing roles
- Hands-on experience building triggered journeys across email, in-product messaging, or push
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cohort data, activation metrics, and funnel behavior
- Experience in PLG or SaaS environments where lifecycle impacts activation, expansion, and retention
- Strong lifecycle copywriting skills : clear, concise, and performance-driven
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Product, Growth, and Customer Experience teams
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience using HubSpot
- Familiarity with behavioral analytics, user segmentation, or cohort modeling
- Basic SQL skills or comfort working directly with raw data beyond dashboards
- Experience building lifecycle systems for PLG or collaborative/team-based products
- Experience running A/B tests and interpreting results across multiple channels
