The Provider Communications Writer is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of moderately complex communication materials for healthcare providers. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to ensure content is clear, compliant, and aligned with corporate and regulatory standards.
Associates are expected to work onsite 1–2 days per week. Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance of the listed locations unless a legally required accommodation applies. Alternate locations may be considered.
Role Overview
The Provider Communications Writer develops, edits, and reviews both print and digital communication materials used to support provider engagement. This role contributes to operational excellence initiatives such as plain language adoption, standardization, and paperless communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to clarify communication needs and develop final draft materials
- Write, edit, and review content for print materials (e.g., business development documents, form letters, direct mail) and digital communications (e.g., website content, email campaigns)
- Ensure all content complies with internal standards and external legal, regulatory, and business requirements
- Follow corporate style guidelines and approval workflows
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support initiatives such as standardization, plain language, and digital transformation
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a team-based environment with strong attention to detail and organization
- Healthcare or managed care industry experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience using SharePoint, Grammarly, Spark, or AI-assisted writing tools such as ChatGPT
Compensation
For candidates working in California, the salary range for this position is:
$61,600 – $106,260 annually
Actual compensation is determined based on factors such as location, experience, education, skills, and business needs. Salary ranges may be adjusted over time.
