Role Overview
A publicly traded AI cloud infrastructure company is seeking a Sales Compensation Specialist to support the continued growth of its go-to-market organization. This role will be responsible for designing, administering, and optimizing sales incentive programs that align revenue performance with business objectives.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring sales compensation plans are competitive, scalable, and accurately executed. Working closely with Finance, Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, and HR, the Sales Compensation Specialist will provide analysis, reporting, and operational excellence that directly impacts sales productivity, retention, and revenue efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage sales compensation plans aligned with revenue goals and company strategy
- Administer commission, bonus, and incentive payouts with accuracy and timeliness
- Partner with Finance, Sales, and Revenue Operations to ensure compensation plans support scalability and profitability
- Analyze compensation plan effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve sales performance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards related to incentive payouts
- Build dashboards and reports tracking sales performance, attainment, and payout accuracy
- Optimize commission processing workflows to reduce errors and manual effort
- Support annual and quarterly planning cycles, including quota modeling and cost analysis
- Educate sales teams on compensation structures, incentive mechanics, and payout timelines
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to align compensation strategies with talent and retention goals
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Finance, or Revenue Operations
- Strong knowledge of sales compensation models, quotas, and incentive structures in B2B technology environments
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and compensation management tools
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple compensation plans simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting SaaS, AI, or cloud infrastructure sales organizations
- Familiarity with subscription and enterprise sales models
- Exposure to CPQ tools, incentive automation platforms, and sales forecasting
- Background in compensation benchmarking, performance analytics, or total rewards strategy
- Ability to clearly explain complex compensation models to sales teams and executives
