Role Overview
AmeriBen is seeking an experienced Account Service Manager Sr. to lead strategic account management efforts for large and complex client accounts. This role serves as a senior-level resource and team lead, ensuring high client satisfaction, strong operational execution, and long-term account retention.
The position is primarily remote, with required in-person training sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced strategic planning and account management for major client accounts
- Direct and oversee contractual requirements and service obligations
- Manage new account implementations and renewal processes
- Partner with internal operations teams to ensure effective service delivery
- Maintain relationships across multiple levels of client organizations
- Identify and recommend service improvements aligned with client needs
- Develop and manage implementation and reporting processes to support retention
- Deliver on-site and off-site account management, including:
- Plan design interpretation
- Claims, benefits, and enrollment issue resolution
- Phone and written inquiry support
- Present utilization and benefit reporting (monthly, ad hoc, mid-year, annual) to brokers and clients
- Coordinate open enrollment meetings, renewals, and client training sessions
- Support standardization initiatives and cross-functional process improvements
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior account service managers
- Conduct routine account visits and travel as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, business operations, or customer relationship management
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance industry experience
- Third-party administrator (TPA) experience
- Senior-level account management experience
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
Compensation
Salary Range: $91,308 – $156,528 annually
Compensation is based on geographic location, experience, education, skill set, and business needs.
