- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet at all times
- Establish accounting policies and judgment frameworks appropriate for a high-growth company
Build the Accounting Function
- Define the chart of accounts and reporting structure to support operational insights and future scalability
- Implement best-practice processes for journal entries, reconciliations, documentation, and controls

- Own audit-readiness planning, including documentation standards, tie-outs, and issue tracking
- Manage relationships with external audit, tax, and accounting partners
- Coordinate and fulfill PBC (Provided by Client) requests
Systems & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Evaluate and recommend accounting and finance tools (ERP, AP/expense management, close tools) and lead implementations
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, Sales, and People teams to improve upstream data quality
- Build scalable workflows for spend management, vendors, customers, and accounting operations
Hiring & Team Development
- Hire and develop the initial accounting team over time
- Establish clear expectations for quality, pace, and review standards
