Position Overview
Solace is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join its engineering team and play a key role in building and evolving its core product platform. This role involves owning features end-to-end—from initial product requirements and system design through implementation and deployment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who thrives in startup environments, enjoys working on ambiguous problems, and takes pride in building high-quality, user-centered software. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with product and design partners while shipping production code on a continuous basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze product requirements and translate them into high-quality, production-ready code
- Build and maintain user-facing features across the full stack, from database models and APIs to UI components
- Take full ownership of assigned features and workflows, ensuring quality, reliability, and accountability
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver cohesive and intuitive user experiences
- Design and implement backend services and APIs to support existing and new web application features
- Maintain and improve system performance, stability, and code quality through refactoring and enhancements
- Write clear technical specifications to support reliable deployments and ongoing maintenance
- Drive feature releases to production using a continuous deployment approach
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development
- Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced product environment
- Strong proficiency with React and modern frontend development practices
- Solid backend experience using TypeScript and Node.js
- Strong understanding of building consumer-focused, high-quality user experiences
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Self-directed mindset with a strong bias toward action, execution, and ownership
